Redesigned Western Digital My Book external HDDs offer up to 4 TB

Western Digital has announced it is redesigned its lineup of My Book external storage devices for Windows and Mac computers. The redesign storage devices offer more space for your favorite content and better performance. The redesign drives now use USB 3.0 connectivity.

The redesigned drives are available in 2 TB, 3 TB, and 4 TB capacities. The drives also feature WD SmartWare Pro automatic backup software that has Dropbox integration. Dropbox integration means that the storage drives can back up your content to the cloud.

The drives also ship with a WD Edition of Acronis True Image allowing users to back up the entire computer system and securely delete content. The SmartWare Pro automatic backup software also supports hardware encryption and password protects user files against theft.

The My Book for Mac also gets USB 3.0 connectivity and is available in 2 TB or 3 TB capacities. The Mac version of the drive is compatible with Apple Machine. The Mac and other versions of the My Book external hard drives are covered with a three-year warranty. The 2 TB version will sell for $129.99, the 3 TB version sells for $149.99, and 4 TB version sells for $179.99.
