Which brings us to... Movies in general... Not sure if just getting old.. but I have almost zero interest in most of what is shat out of studios these days."

I'm sort of with you, there's maybe 1 every big release season that looks interesting anymore. I think it's cause studios are relying too much on technology and effects than perfecting the story. Well, that and they're too worried about Joe Smith pirating 1 copy of a movie he wouldn't buy anyway (that didn't cost the studio anything) to put too much into writing/directing.

You should visit CNN... Which is a news organization and not a tech blog. Some of the stuff written there might make your grammar bone explode.

If It's been that long, then you missed out on the movie pass, which was unlimited rentals of games or movies and no late fees for a flat rate monthly. It was like netflix, but in our own town.

Problem for blockbuster was over 3 months we watched ever movie in the place we ever wanted to (younger, no cable tv.) We canceled because new releases couldn't keep up with that pace (ones we would actually watch.)

That's where we are almost at with netflix.

I can remember the last time I used my Blockbuster video rental card. It was 1996.

I am surprised that it has taken this long for consumers to get tired of paying more for less.

One day movie rentals at high prices and if they were late 5 minutes, you got another day's rental tacked on to the total. LOL

I don't even remember the name of the movie, only that I had intended to watch it, but work got in the way and I never did see the movie, but I paid for two days worth of non-viewing.

Glad to see that consumers are finally waking up and demanding more instead of less for their money.
