Quan all-in-one iPad accessory will add connectivity

Quan is a company that performs a lot of research, development, and experimentation in the robotics industry. Robots aren't all the company works on though and Quan has announced that its all-in-one iPad accessory has entered the engineering phase. Previously, the project was in the conceptual phase and the changing phase marks a transition from the drawing board to the workshop.

Quan says that this week its engineering department began producing a working prototype of the device for testing. The all-in-one iPad accessory sounds like a device that iPad users will welcome. The company promises that the accessory will give the iPad features of a high-end laptop.

The accessory promises to add peripheral ports, the ability to connect to storage devices, an extended battery pack, speakers, keyboard, and more. All of those accessories will be packed in a single stylish and protective case. Presumably, the accessory will include USB ports for connecting other devices.

Quan notes that it has contacted manufacturers in China about initiating production of the accessory as soon as a prototype is produced. The company says that the prototype has to meet internal performance targets before being shipped to manufacturing. That means there is no indication of when we might see the all-in-one iPad accessory on the market.
