Qualcomm Uplinq 2010 discount for SlashGear readers!

Qualcomm may not be a household name, but if you've bought a smartphone in the past year or so they their chipsets are probably already in your home.  The madly popular Snapdragon chipset has pretty much cornered the market in high-end Windows Mobile and Android devices, while the company's other ranges fill in many of the gaps left over.  SlashGear is off to Uplinq 2010, Qualcomm's mobile developer conference, to find out what all the fuss is about, but the company have offered us a deal for developers reading the site to come along too.  That's in the shape of a sizeable 20-percent discount on the registration fee.

Uplinq will cover developing for Qualcomm's BREW platform – as on the HTC Smart which we've played with today – but also Android, Windows Phone 7, Flash and Java.  It's a two day event, made up of conferences, demo showcases and various sessions on how to get to grips with what are some of the most common mobile chipsets around.  The full agenda is here.

Usually registration costs $375, but with the special discount code "SLASH123" that Qualcomm have given us, you can bring that down 20-percent to just $300.  The code will be valid for the first 100 readers who use it; you can register at https://qualcomm.g2planet.com/uplinq2010/register.php.  Uplinq takes place at at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego, California from June 30 to July 1, 2010; more details at Uplinq.com. Registrants will also receive a discounted rate of $199/night at the hotel if they reserve before May 28.
