I think we already see way too many qualcomm underperforming devices with alarmingly poor visual or graphic processing power. This is why nVidia is king when it comes to this concern plus nvidia is really agressively penatrating the market due to its strategy of creating cutting edge SoC's. People love power, as well as smart use of it with little waste and nVidia is going into crazy scientist type of research with insane enthusiasm and drive to be on top by creating most advanced chips outthere. They invented the graphics chip which is today the most complex and advanced silicone on the planet. Qualcomm is playing it safe and that is extremely boring and uninteresting to the mainstream crowd. I admire nvidia for being such an obsessive compulsive unit like myself, always seeking to better and even top self. Everytime I pickup and test a qualcumm product-its average at best! Always poor in gaming performance. Its good to have competition but world could do without boring average qualcumm.

First - The Tegra 3 is cortex A9, not A15. Second - As referenced, Qualcomm "designs its own ARM-based cores." It's called Krait, not A15. Third - Krait processors will be released in early 2012, and A15 will not be seen until mid 2013.

Not to be rude, but not a very relevant point. Qualcomm is clearly the leader with its next gen CPU (Krait) that is optimized for power, 28nm node size, and fully integrated LTE modem. It's easy to slap four A9's together to win a quad core marketing advantage...
