I don’t give a shit about their new architecture. Qualcomm really needs to step their game up in the graphics department. A 50% increase still yields lower performance than an SGX 543MP2 or a Mali-400.

Smartphones are getting more and more amazing. Unfortunately they’re all attached to rape-you-in-the-wallet carrier data plans. Sure, you can buy one right-out, but buying a $700-800 smartphone and being tethered to small wifi hotspots is just pathetic.

I know that won’t be feasible but one can hope and dream of the possibilities…just the power savings of 60-70% will be worth it. I know we might start seeing devices with this S4 chip in them in abt 6 month or so. By then i will be rocking my new Nexus…bad timing for its release.

The Snapdragon S4 processor looks phenomenal, but I remember drooling over TI’s OMAP4 like two years ago. Have we even seen a device with that chipset yet?! Hopefully, Qualcomm can deliver.

Now wish we had this S4 under the hood of the Nexus. I will certainly wait a few more month for my Nexus if i was guaranteed it will be tested and ready to be the beating heart of my Nexus Prime. For a chip as powerful and multifaceted as this…it will be worth the wait. We would certainly be seeing super fast ICS HTC devices with this as their beating heart next year but really wish it was on my next device..the new Nexus Prime
