Pyle Bluetooth Fitness Scale connects to smart wearables

This week the folks at Pyle Audio have taken the smart fitness ecosystem up a notch with additional tracking through a Bluetooth scale. You'll stand on it, you'll weigh yourself, and you'll have this data fed to your mobile device via Bluetooth. Your smartphone will then tell you more about your exercise regiment than you ever could possibly have wanted to know.

Users of the Pyle Audio system of music equipment may not have seen this coming, but the company has indeed made a collection of non-sound-centric machines in the past. They've made recreational sports gear too! Now they're making this rather futuristic-looking Bluetoothe Fitness Scale and are bringing it in with a cool collection of colors for good measure.

Pyle has a Bluetooth-ready Health Fitness Tracker app ready to roll with user profiles, chart progress, and connectivity to Twitter or Facebook. We're hoping they extend this connectivity to the wider sports and fitness tracking ecosystem, of course, but it's a good start!

"Our new Bluetooth Fitness Scale combined with our Health Fitness Tracker allows you to set fitness goals and monitor your progress in a safe and effective way. With the ability to measure all aspects of the body's health was the main goal in development." – Abe Brach of Pyle Audio

The app works on devices like the iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, 5c, iPad 3, 4, and iPad Air. It also works on Android devices like the Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note 3, Nexus 5, and Nexus 7 tablet. The common thread through the whole lot of these, of course, is Bluetooth 4.0 – see if you can track the low energy greatness!

This device will be appearing in black, green, orange, pink, or gray this season for a cool $59.99 USD through their own online portal. You'll find this machine bringing results in a variety of measurements – pounds, kilograms, or even stones – depending on your preference.
