Well that certainly didn’t take too long. 3.0 hasn’t even hit the Internet yet, and already Sony has pushed out the PlayStation Portable’s System Update 3.01. Apparently this is a last-minute security fix, as there was a fairly large hole in the 3.00 update. No new features have been added, meaning that you’ll still need one of those expensive PlayStation 3 things if you want to enjoy PSOne emulation on your diminutive little handheld; the next major system update should bring PS3-less emulation your way.
