PSP-3000 vs. PSP-2000 screen comparison

It looks like Sony wasn't kidding when they said the PSP-3000 would have an improved LCD screen. Famitsu posted some photographs of the PSP-2000 and PSP-3000 side by side and you can definitely see a noticeable difference between the two.

As you may have noticed from the picture, with the exception of the display the PSP-3000 looks for the most part exactly like the PSP-2000. The PSP-3000 is reported to have an LCD with five times the contrast ratio, double the gamut, and double the response time. In addition to the improved screen the device will also have a built-in microphone, with better quality than the previous add-on mic.

The PSP-3000 is expected to arrive in Europe on October 15th for an MSRP around $291. No US release date or pricing has been announced.
