I also don't think someone working for Sony would make so many spelling and grammar errors. That's something I would expect from Microsoft. Spent an hour on the phone with those dumbasses and still didn't solve the issue with our Xbox 360.

But heck who knows what's really going on with these rumors spreading everywhere ? Just my opinion..

Im calling BS on this one..People SHOULD be mad at Sony...for NOT taking the proper precautions to prevent something like this from happening. As for "DDOS errors" I dont know where you heard this term or who gave you this information, but Sony has NOT disclosed what actually went on. The most they've said is they noticed the intrusion and took the network offline. Also...

"forced a bunch of websites to give up the ip addresses of everyone who viewed Georges video"

On what planet is this NOT invasion of privacy? Sony going after people who watch videos?? Also, to the give the developers and blah blah what they deserve...They deserve to have their asses handed to them for producing insecure shit. Don't blame anyone but Sony for this. Oh, and ONE other thing..Anon is FARRRRRRRR above stealing credit card information and the like..You should learn more about the organization before you go shooting off at the mouth.

On what planet is this NOT invasion of privacy? Sony going after people who watch videos?? Also, to the give the developers and blah blah what they deserve…They deserve to have their asses handed to them for producing insecure shit. Don’t blame anyone but Sony for this. Oh, and ONE other thing..Anon is FARRRRRRRR above stealing credit card information and the like..You should learn more about the organization before you go shooting off at the mouth.

All you people pissed off at Sony READ THIS!!. You want the truth here it is. Sony pissed off a bunch of people for being a company that is trying to stand up for anti piracy and protect the itellectual assets of its games and all the third party company who make games. Sony put a patch 5.2 which took the other os feature off the ps3 to stop people from being able to copy software to the ps3 and use it without a purchased license. SO some guy named George hotz cracked Sonys software and put up a vid on how to again Jailbreak the ps3 to use unlicnesed software. Sony then sued geoge hotz and forced a bunch of websites to give up the ip addresses of everyone who viewed Georges video. Anonymous (The hacker group responisible for attacking sony) viewed this as an invasion of people privacy and that is why they attacked sony. On 4-6 Anonymous used a DDOS (denial of service) protocol to prevent certain people from being able to connect to psn. They then stopped. Then about a week and a half later the same DDOS error began to appear again. This time it did not stop. If finally became bad enough that Sony chose to take the network down. They are rebuilding to fix the DDOS errors and to prevent something like this from happening again. So those of you pissed off at Sony are misdirecting your anger at the wrong people. Sony is trying to protect the people who make all the games you love. Sony is taking a stand against people who think its okay to pirate software. Sure a jailbroke ps3 might sound cool on outside. But when you really dig in, if all the companys who make awesome games sell of 1 of 5 discs that they currently sell cause 1 guy gives his 5 friends the disc, do you think they will be able to continue putting out the same quaility of product. Give the companys, artist, designers, programmers what they deserve and dont use "jail broke" machines to copy software so you dont pay the same price everyone else does. And for those of you saying how could sonys security be so low they let some do this... let me ask you this how did china hack the pentagon? Take a look at Anonymous's track record, this guys have a pretty long list of institutions they have hacked.. and worst of all have never been caught. These are not your run of the mill hackers. These guys are well organized and obviously have access to so pretty advanced technology. So again if your mad at sony, you are gravely mistaken, and in my mind just misinformed about what it going on.. sony did not cause this. Sony chose to take the network down to protect its consumers and provide them with stronger security going forward. Yes it sucks the network being down for so long, but trust me, good things come to those who wait.

i dont think this is true. xbox has been down much longer than this. so did the same thing happen then? every day the number of people who switched to ps3 increased exponentially? in my opinion, there are going to end up being very few who actually dumped there ps3 for an xbox.
