Just nights ago, a brand spanking new Playstation 3 sold for $50 below retail when it left its eBay auction. This is amazing news considering a month ago, people would pay thousands more for this piece of electronic equipment.

What is happening to Sony? Just a single month ago, their product soared above the rest, price wise, and now they are going for below retail. Are these products not good enough? Does nobody want to pay to high price tag Sony has put on them? What has made the demand so low?
If you look at this from the seller’s perspective, are these consoles worth buying at retail, than reselling? No. Now if you see this from the buyer, would you buy something when you don’t even want to pay retail for it? I say no again. What happened Sony?

Maybe its because that crazy theory that Sony have fixed up their manufacturing problems and people can find them on the shelves rather then having to go through the inflated prices on Ebay to get them.
Could it be that all the real sellers on ebay are being beaten over the head by ebay’s brother in arms Paypal - how many ebay Power Sellers have had their Paypal accounts frozen and their ebay businesses destroyed - in the name of protecting the buyer.
Never mind the listing fees, which can erode profits.
When ebay lowers the fees - for one day - more people list !!!!
Listing quality items on ebay is risky - first because you can have your Paypal account frozen at any time and the cost of listing is unpredictable.
At our local Walmart, there are 5 or 6 PS3’s sitting on the display counter, but to get a Wii they are announced via intercom as soon as they have been received by the store.
My wife managed to get one : )
