If you were wondering how long Sony is expecting to support the PS3, it’s going to be a while. According to Sony’s Jack Tretton, they’re “into this for the next 10 years and beyond.”

PS3

It’s good to see that they are looking towards the future with this console. The PS3 has a lot of potential, so I think it’s good that they are at least going to try and get a good decade out of it. Most consoles are pretty much kicked to the curb after a few years because of newer, better systems. Then again, they could have just been saying that to take the main focus off of the slow sales that they’ve been having.

Some people love it, some people hate it. But like it or not, the PS3 is going to be around for a long time.

That’s a pretty ballsy move…I bet they plan on making a PSP 2 or something and then look for a a PS 4 because right now they can’t make ditch the PS 3 or they’ll make all their customers mad…

PS 4 doesn’t sound as cool as PS 3….oh well maybe PS 6 or 7 will be better?
