Worth Reading?

NoYes

FFXIWell, something had to give. In keeping with our massive amount of Sony coverage, we’re now learning that the software which the consoles uses to emulate PSOne and PS2 games isn’t quite perfect yet. Games like Gran Turismo 4 and Final Fantasy XI apparently suffer from audio and graphical glitches, with the occasional full-blown crash. Sony promises to fix these glaring issues with another online update, so sit tight if your favorite PSOne/PS2 games aren’t working as they should be. In the meantime, you could always download some old PSOne games and play those!

Your source says nothing of FFXII and as far as I know, it is FFXI that is having problems because of the hard drive that came with it for the PS2. Please check your facts before posting that FFXII does not work.

I realize that, but I believe he has the wrong Final Fantasy game in mind. His source only states that Final fantasy has problems, but there are 12 of them. I have heard that XI has had problems, but not XII.

That is a list of all the problems and FFXII is not on that list. I just want him to do a little research before posting that FFXII has glitches when it is FFXI that has the glitches.

I guess when a company rushes its product to market rather than taking the time to iron out the problems these sorts of problems are to be expected.

How long until the first class action suit alleging that Sony knowingly shipped a defective product?

Sorry about the mix-up; I misread the source and thought they had said FFXII rather than FFXI.

Article has been fixed. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

Just so you know, FFXII does have a glitch that, in my openion, renders the game unplayable. Game’s graphics, especially text, appears gatbled, segmented and “broken”, as if the scaling is somehow messed up. Essentially there are square chunks of different grpahical elements that are protruding or pushed to the elft or right. The glitch is difficult to explain,b ut it is both persistent and permanent. For the record, I have seen this on a 20GB PS3.
