I feel dedicated devices are coming back. You cant get the same experiance with tablets or phones. Also you will see many marketplace games charging more in the future because it coast them too much to develop and only 1 out of 100 actually make money

I agree with you! In these hard times and not so good economy $250 for a portable gaming device just doesn't resonate well with casual gamers. I'm sure Sony will have no problem selling the Vita to Sony faithfuls and hardcore gamers, but if Sony really want the Vita sales to sky rocket they need to do something about the price. The price is really the ticking time bomb for Sony and the Vita.

if you can show me any android device or apple device out in the market right now that can play a portable version of street fighter X tekken I will say good bye to the Vita and get myself that android device or apple device. The thing is you can't because no matter if any of the current android and apple device is a dual core or quad core they don't have the same kind of power that the Vita does.

the Vita's $250 price point is a bit too high considering that you have to buy 2 or more games plus a memory card and included tax that would total up to a bit over $300. With that kind of cost just to obtain a Vita I could use that to buy myself a PS3 that can play blue ray movies. Another bad thing that may contribute to Vita's poor sale are all the new great games that will be coming out during the months of February and March. I'm talking about games like Asura's Wrath, Ninja Gaiden 3, the new Resident Evil games and other great games being release soon. $250 can buy alot of those games. If only Sony was able to lower the price to say $225 I'd definately get myself one. Another thing that sucks about the Vita is ports. Sony loyals don't give a damn what goes on it, but gamers like me are just tired of seeing console games that will be ported to the Vitas. We want to see some good and new orignal IPs. Mortal Kombat 9, Street Fighter X Tekken, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 are good examples that I don't give a damn about on the Vita because I can play them on my console.

Mortal Kombat 9, Street Fighter X Tekken, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 are good examples that I don't give a damn about on the Vita because I can play them on my console.

the Vita’s $250 price point is a bit too high considering that you have to buy 2 or more games plus a memory card and included tax that would total up to a bit over $300. With that kind of cost just to obtain a Vita I could use that to buy myself a PS3 that can play blue ray movies.
Sony is not nimble enough to know what constitutes enough value to warrant a purchase for a luxury item like a dedicated gaming portable. There are a lot of people who would like the PS vita, but hell nobody is going to buy it at this price and the necessary accessories like Sony only memory sticks when they have smartphones that can double as a gaming device if need be.

Granted smartphone games are nowhere near the quality of dedicated gaming portables like the Pita, but heck if you are going to make people pay as much as buying a ps3 for the privilege. It's a different market then when the first PS and DS arrived on the scene.

the price for the vita is high but once it launches in Europe and North America sales for the Vita will likely catch up to the 3DS because in Europe and North America its all about the graphics and specs.
