If these alleged leak turn out to be true, the new body has nothing significant enough to keep their throne in Japan’s DSLR market. The successful Nikon’s D40 series has penetrated Canon year’s long leadership in Japanese DSLR market and later put Nikon on top of the list in the year of 2007.
Perhaps the lens line-up can cheer you up better than the body. The alleged new Nikon lenses are Nikkor 24mm f/3.5D ED Tilt/Shift lens, AF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro lens and a DX mounted AF-S DX 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR Wide-Zoom lens.
