If a 160GB solid-state disk just won’t do it for you, check out the latest offering from PQI. They’re bringing the game to a whole new level.

PQI 256GB SSD

PQI is showing off their new Turbo+ 2.5” SATA SSD drive which if you’ve been keeping track is just 6GB larger than the highest capacity magnetic 2.5” disks. If I’m not mistaken, this will be the first time that SSD drives have surpassed magnetic disks in the realm of capacity.

Although the speed of this drive isn’t the best, its 60MB/sec transfer speeds wouldn’t sway me from getting one. However, I’m sure the price tag would pretty much do it for me. No word yet on pricing or availability, but you can expect to pay a hefty premium for one of these.
