Power Pwn surge protector snoops on your network

A company called Pwnie Express has a new product that's in the works called the Power Pwn. It looks like your typical power strip or surge protector but is designed to snoop on your network. Systems administrators in the enterprise setting won't appreciate this device all because it could be slipped into the network, and most people would never even notice.

The Power Pwn is claimed to be an integrated enterprise-class penetration testing platform. The device also has a modular hardware design. This product is being marketed as a penetration testing tool, but if you're penetration testing your own network, why would you need something in a form factor like this that is easy to hide? The device has a number of integrated modules for snooping on different devices.

It has integrated Wi-Fi, high-gain Bluetooth with up to 1000-foot range, dual Ethernet ports, 16 GB of internal storage, and an external 3G/GSM adapter, and other features. It also supports text-to-Bash and stealth modes. Other features include out-of-band SSH access over 3G/GSM networks. It comes preloaded with Debian 6 and over 14 different hacking tools. The device can be pre-ordered for $1295.
