He is saying that the internet can be used for the greater good and not to reject this form of communication in a fundamentalist fearful way for those who are technology adverse. For the technology savy, he is warning them not to become de-humanized or addicted to electronic communication and sacrifice intimate connection with other people. These are words of wisdom from a great intellectual and humanist, they are words to the wise.
