Pong comes to the Apple Watch in a creative way

When you think of the original video game, there are probably a few different ones that come to mind. There is some debate as to what constitutes a video game, which makes for a few different answers. But there is little debate as to what game lead to the popularization of the format, Pong. And now you can play the tiniest version of it ever.

Okay, so I don't have a list of the smallest Pong games in the world in front of me. But I'm going to go out on a limb and say that you've probably never played it on a screen smaller than that of an Apple Watch. And if you just happen to have one of Apple's timepieces, you can play it for free.

Developer Matt Weichec just released A Tiny Game of Pong earlier this week, and it's a simple take on the arcade classic. By using the Digital Crown for control, you can move your paddle back and forth using the same motions that you used on your Magnavox Odyssey (if you're old enough to have played on one, that is). Check out the video of the game in action below.

Honestly, I'm almost as impressed with the video as I am with the fact that he was brave enough to use the word Pong in the game's name. There are two game modes, where you can either play to 3 points against the AI, or see how high of a score you can reach. The game is currently free on the App Store, though something tells me that it might not be hanging around too long, if Atari gets wind of it.
