Pokemon Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire release dates tipped

This week we're investigating the inevitable November release of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. These titles were teased for the first time earlier this month with a late-2014 release date suggestion, and here near the end of the month we've already seen pre-orders made available in every shop from NewEgg to Amazon.

Today we're to understand that the game may be released on November 30th, a Sunday. We take this suggestion with a grain of salt for several reasons.

The 30th of November is a conservative estimate based on the number of days in the month. It's the last day of the month, so based on Nintendo's promise of a November release, shops can't be wrong in saying the games will be released by that time.

The 30th of November is a Sunday – video games don't generally see release on a Sunday. Pokemon X and Y were released on a Saturday in the United States (and worldwide, for that matter).

UPDATE: On the other hand, the United States did see a Sunday release for Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 in 2012.UPDATE 2: Thanks to friendly commenter "Stanford," it's now apparent that Target has November 7th set as their release date – we'll take it!

We'd wager one week earlier than the 30th would do nicely for the release of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. That'd put sales out of the way of Black Friday – no need for trampling! It'd also give Pokemon lovers in the United States something to play while they gather with family for Thanksgiving dinner the week after.
