Plex for Xbox One coming tomorrow, 360 "later"

Plex is a pretty versatile media streamer, requiring no proprietary hardware, only an app. Making a home on various hardware that you don't control isn't easy, though. Today, Plex is announcing they've made a new home on the media streaming device you probably use in your living room, the Xbox.

Already available on Android, iOS, and via various other boxes like Roku, Plex is a pretty significant platform for users. Starting tomorrow, Xbox One users will have the ability to stream media content.

Plex is also saying they'll be available for Xbox 360 soon, but isn't committing to a timeline.

Voice and gesture control you might be using on the Xbox will be available for Plex, too, providing a seamless experience on the platform.

If you're not a Plex subscriber, you will be able to snap up the apps for Xbox. There is a price for those apps, but Plex hasn't said how much they'll be yet. If they hold true with the price Plex charges via other platforms, expect to drop $4.99 or so to use Plex on Xbox.

If you're already a Plex Pass subscriber, the app(s) will be available for free. Plex for Xbox (PleXbox?) is also the first time the media streaming platform has been available natively on a gaming platform.
