The lack of ads on the tv there no user awarness for the vita but the price is just right its worth 500 dollars I love this thing. It just until last week that I only saw two tv ads then last I saw about 50 while watch raw impact and smackdown wrestling

Think about it this way. Would you rather buy a PS3 for $250 (grab it at Gamestop for $200) with a huge selection of games or a Vita for $250 with a small library? I’m waiting until the price point decreases and the library increases, so probably a little over a year from now.

It’s almost as if Sony presented this as a secret. I don’t know about you but I have seen very few commercials for this product.
I agree with other posters who have said they missed the holiday season last year, and it is too soon for the holiday season this year. It just doesn’t make sense.
The only reason I would buy this now is simply for the one game Wipe Out Pure.
Unfortunately, the price makes it too much to be motivated to buy that one game.

Sony missed the holiday season where people are more prone to buy over expensive stuff for their loved ones.
lol its $250.
lol its $250 with a lack of a variety of games.
lol why would someone pay $250 for something that has only 3-5 hours of battery life?
lol why would i buy something $250 when i could buy/have a ps3 and chill at home and play with my boys?
Also, Sony’s marketing of playing hardcore games on the go is lol. Unless on a very long trip, who plays hardcore games on the run? considering the large amount of smartphone users, i’m sure most people would rather pull out a quick mobile game on their smartphone(which they’re likely to have with them all the time) than carry an extra device along with them just for gaming. Also, considering the fact that the PS Vita is made to emulate a console like experience, why would you need a console like experience on the run? O_O

Anyways, Sony, drop the PS Vita’s price, and maybe, just maybe, buying the PS Vita might actually cross the mind’s of mine, and the many others not buying the PS Vita.
Tips on what the price should be? how about… idk, below $200??

It still offers a dumbed down version of games. Make a 1:1 CoD or BF that integrates seamlessly with those on a PS3, and watch the popularity soar. Making all the games proprietary does nothing. It also doesn’t help when it costs more than a console to get a more limited selection of lower quality games.

I had the Vita from Amazon and after a week i did return it back to Amazon – one problem is that the games are not fun to play – i paid 250 Euros for the Vita and 40 bucks for a game (expensive) – i have more fun with my PS3 which only costs 199 euros and for a PS3 game i only pay in europe between 8 euros and 15 Euros (i buy them used online – great titles like: Uncharted 2&3, Killzone 3, God of War III etc.) but used PS Vita games will run you at least 25 Euros to much for so small – and like i said i played 5 Vita games but after 20 minutes i stopped playing because it was not as much fun like playing God of War on the PS3 or Forza 4 on the xBox – so why would someone keep that thing if even an iPhone with 99cents or 79eurocents is more fun to play! 20 Years ago i had the portable atari LINX and that thing was sexy state of high tech but this feels out dated laying on the sofa/couch!

It’s a shame because the Vita is a beautiful piece of hardware. My wife has one and I am extremely impressed with it.

if u know sony they not dropping any price they will make a smaller screen and sell it to u without sum of the features you should know that and 250 for a high res screen a ps3 graphics com on son not going to happen they will force you to buy it with the games and apps

The price point is the only reason I haven’t bought one yet. I want one real bad thougj, but I just don’t have that much money to spare. I rather spend it on new PS3 releases. God of War: Ascension, PlayStation All Stars, Resident Evil 6, Bioshock Infinite, Sly 4.. all that equals a Vita. I rather get all that than one Vita plus extra for games. They need to drop the price to $150/$200 at E3.

‘lack of quality game’

I find it has a pretty good quality game lineup. This is not a 99c apps, take your time to play those existing title and maybe someone will appreciate what it has to offer.
