Microsoft $250x2.5mil units = $625 mil revenue
Sony $80x4.1 mil units = $328 mil revenue (thats using the move bundle US price)

There might be more factors obviously, such as distribution costs, products costs etc... etc.... etc..... but in sheer revenue on the units, I would say Microsoft is beating Sony.

True, very true. Now, I'm pretty sure that's a good thing for the consumer, but is that good for Microsoft????

One thing you are forgetting is that 1 Xbox owner will only purchase 1 Kinect. On the other hand PS3 owners might purchase between 1 and 4 Moves. So while Sony has sold 4.1 million moves, it might have only be to 2 million customers (for example).

Retailers order what they think they can sell, but that still doesn't mean they can 'move' all the units they order. One must also take into account that many retailers also order enough inventory so they don't run out, so my best guess (albeit unscientific) is that somewhere about 30 percent of sony's 4.1 M figure is still belongs to retailers. So while Sony may have long ago pocketed the proceeds from those shipped units, retailers are yet to enjoy their slice of the pie.

Resellers only order stocks of products they will sell. Otherwise they would be out of business. And once they have something in shop, anyway, they will sell it no matter what.
Therefore it is reasonable to believe that only a small percentage of those 4.1 millions of controllers can be unsold at any point of time.

You're misreporting these figures. The 4.1 million is how many Sony have sold to resellers and distributors, not to actual customers. The 2.5 million Kinects are actual end-user sales. We may never actually know the real sales figures for the Move, as I don't think Sony collects that data.
