Players will help build next Battlefield 4 map

Battlefield 4 is one of the most popular shooters on the market and hoards of players battle it out on BF4 servers every day. The makers of BF4- DICE- have announced that it wants help from gamers to build the next map for the game. BF4 Premium members will test the new map using the Community Test Environment (CTE).

Once the testing is done via CTE, this new map will be given at no cost to gamers on all systems. A free map is a great thing for gamers who love Battlefield 4. DICE says that the free map is a way to say thanks to the BF4 community for giving them excellent feedback that is used to improve the game.

Exactly when the map will be launched isn't clear. All we know for now is that it will come sometime in 2015. While you wait for the new map, we do know that the winter patch for BF4 is set to land in March. This patch will improve netcode and soldier collision.

It will also add tweaks to Squad Obliteration to make it the lead competitive mode in BF4. DICE plans to continue to support BF4 through 2015 even though the next game in the franchise is coming next month.
