I’ll wait til they drop to $100 or below. There wasn’t much interest in hacking the TP until it went on fire sale so I’d expect this to go the same route.

Here in Canada, the all Playbook models are on sale since boxing day and there are still a lot of inventories left at various stores and online. They are definitely not going as fast as rim expected. $249 for the 32gb model is a steal, only if the OS2.0 will be released soon.

What are the chances of an Android port from CM/another like the TouchPad received? It seems that backdoor implementations of Google’s OS is the only salvation for these doomed tablets!

Not really. I mean the really good offer is the 64 gb model but what use can one have for that?
I mean it’s not that there are 60 gb worth of play book or android tablet apps.
When the 16gb goes below 200$ that would be a good bargain.

No. Waiting for lower priced IPAD 2 in March. Will probably be $ 299 for 16 GB. Have an IPAD 1 now.

I did want the Playbook for $ 199, in early January, but supply was gone. Now with the news of a lowered price on the IPAD 2, (as soon as the IPAD 3 is released), I’ll pass on the Playbook. Obviously, they won’t be supported or updated.

I’ve used it at work and is such a snappy, user friendly easy to use, intuitive device.. NOT.

To be honest I’m surprised that they’re not giving it away already so they can at least recoup some of the losses through the sales of content.
