Plantronics announces Marque M155, its smallest and lightest Bluetooth headset

Plantronics announced today a new stereo Bluetooth headset called the Marque M155. It's being touted as the company's smallest and lightest headset for smartphones, weighing only 7 grams. It also boasts voice recognition technology for true hands-free operation and offers voice-guided pairing for both iPhones and Android smartphones.

The Marque M155 uses Bluetooth 3.0 and can pair and maintain connections with two or more devices through its Multipoint technology. It has A2DP standard stereo sound that makes it great for more than just answering calls. It promises great sound quality for listening to music, GPS directions, or even your email. With voice recognition technology, answering calls is as simple as saying "answer."

The headset works with Vocalyst Voice and Text Services and comes with a one-year subscription of the service, which lets you send email, text messages, post to Facebook and Twitter, or even check the weather, all hands-free. You activate the voice service by pressing a button on the headset and then speaking simple commands.

Apps to help familiarize you with the Marque M155 can be found for both the iPhone and Android. Talk time for the headset is rated for up to 5 hours, while standby time is rated for up to 9 days and it takes 2 hours to charge until full via micro USB.

The Plantronics Marque M155 comes in Jet Black and Arctic White, priced at $59.99. It is available for pre-orders starting today on Amazon and will be available at Verizon, T-Mobile, Best Buy, and other retailers around mid to late October.
