The controller works with both Traktor and Serato – it’s just shipped with VDJ.

My only question is why didn’t pioneer allow for this to be standardized for Itch as well? Why VDJ? I mean – ok, I get it. That’s what most newcomers are familiar with, not everyone has ever even heard of serato or traktor, go with familiar! But Itch, to me, just seems so much simpler! Less bells and whistles, more focus on the core basics of simply DJing. I would like to buy this sexy piece but I can already tell that mapping will be an intolerable beast..!

Hate to bag on Vdj.. I own it.. It’s really a decent program.. but $600 control for a $300 program?

Esta muy bien que Pioneer reparta sus productos. Con este controlador ya tiene para los tres grandes DDJ-T1 para Tacktor, DDJ-S1 para Serato y este DDJ-Ergo-V para virtual dj, pero creo que por la botonera de las controladoras en combinación con el software la mejor combinación siempre va a ser cualquier controlador de Pioneer con Tracktor. Creo que el diseño de la botonera esta hecha mirando al software de Traktor.

Para confirmar mi afirmación nomas tenéis que fijaros que la botonera para los efectos es idéntica a la que utiliza Traktor, mientras que los efectos del virtual Dj no llevan esa distribución.
