it’s a great idea to have tattos for babies…I have a nine month old and would luv to get her one…she’s not your average nine month old very advance for her age besides her father and I are really into tattos…..

A nurse first came up with the idea of temporary tattoos for babies as a way to help prevent baby mix ups in the hospital, also so that no one could handle a baby that wasn’t supposed to. The baby, mom and dad would each wear a matching tattoo. The idea was to prevent someone from taking home the wrong baby.

It seems like a nice idea if the comprehended the excitement of it but it does sound somewhat pricy per individual one but I would think it would be used for an older age maybe like 2-3 years. Like you said when they begin to walk even though that is younger than that.

i think its anawesome thing. kids and babies always want to have tatoos and now there is a way that they can. its great keep doing the whole tatoo idea. my nephew love them and so does his mom because they can wash off.

Actually, BABY OIL is one of the things you can use to get temporary tattoos off.

ive been putting temporary tatoos on my 4 year old brother since he was 2. he loves them because he sees other people with tatoos (mom, dad and other family) and wants to copy. now he always asks me to buy some for him.

Therse are pretty cute, but think of what sorts of chemicals you’re going to have to rub on your baby to get them to come off. When I was little there was nothing grosser than having a nasty, dirty, old temporary tattoo. The only way my mother could get them off was to use rubbing alcohol. I don’t thing the problem with these (if there was one to begin with) is necessarily a body modification issue so much as it might end up just plain messy. Blech.

Temporary baby tattoos are a heck of a lot better than all those parents who take their infant to Claire’s for an ear piercing. Just my two cents.

I think it’s cute. It’s not any more ridiculous than dressing a baby in cute things, piercing it’s ears, or giving it cute haircuts and accessories. I’m pretty sure babies don’t actually care about any of these things, so it seems silly to emphasize, for the sake of the con side of the argument, the fact that a baby wouldn’t care about temporary tattoos.

Haha, my 2 year old brother would LOVE these. He’s always lifting the leg of his pants or lifting the sleeve of his arm and pointing and saying ‘tattoo? tattoo?’ However…I could just go to any old store and buy the same exact thing and not have to order them online.

ha, too cute.

putting a temperary tattoo on a baby is no more ridiculous then dressing one up in silly clothing because the style looks amusing when its on a baby.

obviously it is not being done for the babys sake, and as its being done to an infant, it seems it would have little influence to future tolerance towards tattoos one way or the other.

anywho, it made me smile, and giggle a little on the inside :)

Chuck I agree, 1 or 2 would be more logical. That way at least they are old enough to get excited about it. Jan I did in fact mean that I wouldn’t do it, not that you shouldn’t and thank you for pointing that out. I believe in each person’s right to express themselves however they wish, I honestly don’t care if you stretch your ears. However, I would be concerned if you started considering doing it to your infant. Oh and by the way it’s spelled douche bag, not deuschbag.

The author of this article (if talking negatively about this product) is a fucking deuschbag. It would be cute. I hate conservative people with a passion. Obviously this item is not for the baby’s self expression. I’m sure psychologically, later in the childs life, having been exposed to this would make them a little more open-minded to the modified and tattooed like myself, and not cry like a little bitch when exposed to this sort of thing later in life. I hate when people are literally scared of things like ear stretching. YEAH ITS REAL!

The idea seems cute , you have to keep in mind though that beyond food and diapers , anything else is for the parents when it comes to things for babies . Seems like it would be much better for a slightly older child though, 1 or 2 maybe , infant is a bit much , but I can see how it would be cute when the parents are heavily tattooed like myself , and a lot cooler then a dad and lad matching outfit picture at least.
