Patriot unveils Zephyr SSD line

Patriot has a number of different SSDs in the line up already and the company has announced a new SSD family called the Zephyr series. The new SSDs use the JMicron JMF612 controller and have Windows 7 TRIM support.

The SSDs are available in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB capacities. The controller level cache for the line has 64MB of DDR2 and Patriot promises high performance for the series. Write speed is claimed to be 180MB/s and read speed is 240MB/s on the 256GB drive.

The read speed for the 128GB and 64GB drives is the same 240MB/s but write speeds differ with the 128GB SSD providing 145MB/s write and the 64GB offering 85MB/s write speed. The line uses an aluminum housing with NAND flash inside.
