No one is going to deny that the iPhone is one of the best phones for watching movies on the go. However, the people at ATA might not think it’s the best way to watch it on their airplanes, regardless of whether or not it’s in “airplane mode.”

That’s right, someone actually got into a bit of trouble recently on an ATA flight for watching a movie on their iPhone. Even after calmly expaining to the flight attendant that the phone was indeed in “airplane mode” and was neither emitting nor receiving any wireless signals, they still would not allow him to continue watching his movie. The passenger was even forced to speak with the police at his destination regarding the incident, though he wasn’t charged with any crime.

This makes me wonder a few things, what if the guy was using an iPod Touch? With the popularity of the iPhone, would the average person know the difference between the two? Also, would this have even happened if the passenger weren’t watching I Know What You Did Last Summer? I mean seriously, that was a really bad movie.
