Anyone out there that has ever modded a console knows the very real risk of turning it into a brick. If you’ve ever accidentally bricked your PSP, there’s good news, a group of hackers has figured out a way to possibly resurrect your dead handheld.

Apparently Sony technicians use a special battery to breathe life back into those consoles that have been turned to bricks. Now through the use of a special bit of software, you can turn your ordinary PSP battery into one of those magical batteries.

Those of you that have held off on hacking for fear of rendering your PSP useless can now hack to your heart’s content. Enjoy!
