I've been using my Supernova for over a month now and I have to say, your initial review jumped the gun on it's "less than stunning" observations. Apparently you didn't get one to actually hold in your own hands a play with for your evaluation, and you were giving impressions from the $229 price point when now they're selling for around $170.

Shame that: it's actually a GOOD tablet. Works well, nice screen, front camera sucks but the backside camera takes excellent quality pictures in good lighting (as if anyone is going to use a book-sized computer to take family portraits), there is no real market available without doing some hoop dancing, but SlideMe, Amazon Apps and GetJar work perfectly. Netflix looks absolutely fabulous on this tab - never saw Spock look so good! I rooted, installed Titanium and got rid of a bunch of Barnes & Noble crud I didn't want running, installed Moon Reader and wow, it's one of the most beautiful eReaders you could ask for with battery power running about 4-6 hours if you're not listening to music at the same time off the single back speaker.

I know a few people running to the internet for help are exhibiting problems with dead wifi, weird screen glitches, camera wackiness and so on, but that's just the initial post-holiday freakout from people who aren't used to dealing with actual technology - read the postings on the net an you'll see what I mean since most of the positive reviews come from tech-savvy people trying to help. A great deal of the time with problems people come to the net for solving a firmware update or 5-bad-start-reset of the system software solves what ails them.

I see you haven't updated this review so I thought I'd leave one of my own: Out of 100%=Superior, the Pandigital Supernova gets a firm 85%. Nice tablet for it's price point - don't be afraid to buy.

Disclaimer: None needed, I'm neither a Pandigital Rep (I'm a musician), nor am I a fanboy (I use Linux on my Gateway laptop, OSX on my 3 other Apple Comps, I own a Droid 1 and drive a Jeep for whatever any of that is worth).
