Panasonic will re-engineer current Blu-ray production, DMP-BD30 with Divx capability and release in Europe and Russia as DMP-BD30EG/EE. The company is very positive toward the industry first Dvix certified Blu-Ray player and hopes the popular digital media format bring in more support for Blu-Ray. “We are very confident this product will be very popular in the European and Russian markets.” The rest of the world, try PS3 with FW 2.10, it supports Divx.

The end of Format war is slowly encouraging more vendor support and development toward Blu-Ray Player. We’ll get to see a more universal Blu-ray player sooner than expected, hopefully.
