Panasonic reveals a pair of superzooms TZ Series Lumix with 8.1 Megapixel DMC-TZ4 and 9.1 Megapixel DMC-TZ5. The TZ4 uses a smaller 1/2.5” Type CCD sensor while the big brother bumps its resolution with larger 1/2.33” Type CCD sensor. The major differences between these two are 720P movie capture movie, bigger 3.0” LCD display with 460k dots and extra scene modes on TZ5.

Both cameras use the Leica DC Vario-Elmar branded 10x optical zoom lens with range of 28mm-280mm (35mm equiv.), MEGA O.I.S lens-shift stabilization, Intelligent ISO Control, Intelligent Scene Selector, Face Detection and Quick AF functions.

They run on Lithium-ion battery, support SD/SDHC/MMC media storage and have a built-in 50mb storage space. Optional marine case is also makes available to both. The color choice is black only and has a schedule to release around March with MSRP of $350 for TZ5 and $300 for TZ4.
