We don’t readily feature batteries here on SlashGear, but this is a notable exception. The Panasonic Evolta batteries have been recognized by Guinness World Records for the longest lasting AA alkaline battery cell, and that’s saying something.

The Evolta is meant to embody the idea of power and change. These AA batteries can be used in all sorts of devices and can last for a very long time, or can provide ample power for things that tend to eat up batteries quickly like digital cameras.

Internally, the Evolta battery is structured differently than batteries of the past. More active materials are included inside along with better sealing so the new materials (manganese dioxide, oxy-hydroxide titantium and anode zinc) can permit improved performance. Both AA and AAA batteries will be available.
