HTC Keynote at Uplinq 2011: Onlive, HTC Watch, HTC Pro

The second gigantic keynote at Uplinq 2011 was HTC's show, starting with word of NFC, Cloud Data, and 4G. The event continued with the keyword HTC Watch - this, Peter Chou, CEO of HTC noted, will be a Global media hub that’s deeply integrated into HTC allowing for an immersive experience. It's also noted that HTC will now be working with Onlive for a rich gaming experience.

SlashGear 101: What is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Game Pack?

At the Uplinq 2011 conference today, Qualcomm announced that it will be working with game developers to create an optimization program for console-quality games, which will include a "Game Pack" of 100 mobile games for Android. This step towards gaming optimization seems similar to rival NVIDIA's approach with their Tegra 2 processors that are optimized for PlayStation gaming. However, Qualcomm plays it a bit differently by not restricting their games to only Qualcomm Snapdragon powered devices.

If you have been following the tale of the Sony Experia Play, the first PlayStation certified phone, you may be ready to plunk down your hard-earned cash and take one home. Panasonic has announced pricing and availability for its 2011 VIERA HDTVs, with Full HD 3D, smart TV and direct iPod connectivity on select sets. The 3D models include the 37-inch Panasonic TC-L37DT30, at $1,299.95, and the 32-inch TC-L32DT30, at $1,199.95; both use IPS Alpha LED panels, have VIERA connect for streaming Netflix, Amazon VOD, CinemaNow, Hulu Plus, Pandora and other services, DLNA support and 240Hz. Each will go on sale in April.
