Lego Batman to feature Harley Quinn as a playable character

Lego Batman to feature Harley Quinn as a playable character

I really wish I could explain what it is that still fascinates me about Legos. I loved them when I was a kid, and still I buy new sets every now and again. Most of my experience with the tiny bricks lately has been in Star Wars form, either with new sets or the Lego Star Wars game for my 360. I was excited when I finally beat the game at 100%, but sad at the same time. Luckily I still have Lego Indiana Jones and Lego Batman to look forward to. If you haven't heard about Lego Batman, you'll love it.

The Batmobile From Batman Forever Sold For $350K

To the Batmobile! Oh how I miss that sentence. Batman was one of my favorite super heroes, and I wish I could afford his Batmobile. The Batmobile from Batman Forever was sold for $350k. John O'Quinn is the lucky winner of the auction at Kruse Inernational Auction. He’s a rich lawyer that made his big pile of greens from tobacco lawsuit settlement. O'Quinn bought more than just the Batmobile, he also snagged a 2005 Lamborghini Gallardo that was signed by a celebrity for a cool half million dollars, a 1938 Cadillac 90 that was used by the Vatican for $250k, and a 1941 Packard Super 8 Lebaron Limo that was used by Harry Truman and FDR for $289k.

The image you see here has a big ol' power button amid some Batman-looking black swooping lines. The power button and the lines belong to one of Acer's gaming PCs, a "Predator" machine revealed at a small event earlier this year amid a few other early-view pieces of hardware, all in the gaming space. All with sharp angles and an aim for a place in your extravagant gaming PC and Android tablet-loving heart.

Help is on the way: Arkham Knight PC interim patch in August

Help is on the way: Arkham Knight PC interim patch in August

Rumor has it that Batman: Arkham Knight for PC won't really be fixed until around September. Whether that is true, it seems that the publicity of that leak has spurned Warner Bros. and Rocksteady into action. Over at its Steam Community page, the publisher announced that it will be releasing a patch as early as August. But don't get your hopes up too high. This one was clearly labeled an "interim" patch, hinting that the main patch that will bring a close to this chapter is still to come.

Game streaming: fad or future?

Game streaming: fad or future?

Sony, NVIDIA, and, just recently, GameFly. These are the companies that are trying to push game streaming to the forefront. And they are just the bigger ones, with smaller players also trying to make a name for themselves in this niche, either through innovation or through sheer force of will. But behind all these attempt lurks one unanswered question: is it worth it? Is game streaming just a fad that will fade away quietly or is it the path to the future? While the technology admittedly has benefits, who is it really benefiting, players or the big companies?

FF XIV for Macs pulled from sales, lengthy apology issued

FF XIV for Macs pulled from sales, lengthy apology issued

Square Enix may have just launched its biggest update to Final Fantasy XIV, but what could have been an almost perfect release has been marred by performance issues on a single platform: Macs. Now while this may sound almost like the situation with Warner Bros. and Batman: Arkham Knight for PCs, Square Enix is doing something differently and, to its credit, perhaps more satisfying. Producer Naoki Yoshida has provided a rather detailed account of the blunder that happened and, unusual in this business, has taken sole responsibility for the fiasco.

Sources say WB knew Arkham Knight PC was horribly broken

The launch of Batman: Arkham Knight was a disaster, at least for PC owners. Now it might be even more of a PR disaster for publisher Warner Bros. Although the company issued an apology to owners and fans after pulling the game out of sales, it seems it might just be a well-worded cover up. Numerous sources, including the games' testers, are now saying that Warner Bros. was fully aware of the issues that the PC version faced, but decided to ship it at the same time anyway.

Toys”R”Us’ entire Comic-Con Exclusive toy lineup

SDCC exclusive toys begin to appear with Toys"R"Us at the helm, bringing on everything from Batman to Mortal Kombat X to Star Wars. What we're seeing here is a number of "exclusives" that aren't entirely exclusive to the event, thank goodness, including one massive toy set from the Star Wars Black Series from Hasbro. That's the most elite of the US-based Star Wars action figure lines here in the United States, coming correct with 3 3/4-inch inch figures and an ever-so-slightly-taller Rancor. What a beast.
