I Went Old-School Gaming: Now I Miss the Old Days

I had some free time over the weekend last week, and decided that rather than read that book I've been trying to finish or go out for a walk, I'd sit down on my couch, put up my feet, and play some games.

As I've said here before, I'm a long-time gamer with a true love for all types of video games. That's probably why I've kept all the old consoles I owned – even the 3DO! – and all the titles that went with them. You never know when the urge might strike you to play some old games.

This morning Game Director Steven ter Heide of Guerrilla Games showed off his brand new DualShock 4 controller for the PlayStation 4. While the controller likely works exactly like the original, this model is the first all-white model we’ve seen in the wild. This controller is also branded with the title KILLZONE: Shadow Fall, likely set for release with a future edition of the game for PS4.*

NPD Group's January 2014 numbers are in, and with it Xbox has taken the bragging rights for most sold games in January across both the Xbox One and Xbox 360. A total of 2.27 million games were sold in January of this year, making up 47-percent of the market share and trumping the competing -- and bestselling -- PlayStation 4.
