First we must decide if its possible that Apple would release one or several new devices or device refreshes at that event. Next, we've got to assess how important it is that Apple push forward with new software in this ever-changing mobile-minded world of ours. Apple has confirmed the WWDC 2012 keynote, taking place in San Francisco on June 11 at 10am PST, as part of the newly-published schedule for the developer-centric event. The subject of the keynote - which is expected to see CEO Tim Cook take the stage, as well as other luminaries from Apple's executive team - is still a source of contention, with predictions of both iPhone 5 and new Mac news that day.

FCC CEO spectrum keynote comes from an iPad

This week FCC CEO Julius Genachowski spoke on the expansion of spectrum across the board to carriers and how "we need to see improvements in efficiency in networks and devices" across the board. This speech had many of the same talking points coming up that the FCC had spoken on several times before, with items like "We'll of course continue to monitor competition in the wireless industry and take action where necessary" being talking points. What's perhaps more interesting to Apple fans than any of this, strangely enough, is the fact that this entire speech was done from an iPad.
