Panasonic unveils new reference series BT300 2D and 3D screens

Panasonic has unveiled a new line of professional series reference monitors that come in two sizes and support both 3D and 2D content. Both of the screens are large and use plasma technology. TH-42BT300U and TH-50BT300U are 42-inches and 50-inches respectively and are aimed at use in post-production environments. They are made to have high color accuracy and 3D rendering capability. A leaked marketing sheet for Samsung turned up yesterday and that marketing sheet said that the Galaxy Nexus launch date would be pushed a bit to November 17. Samsung has come back today and gone official with the confirmation that the November 17 date is correct. Father and son team try to send helium balloon to 107,000-feet

A dad and his son have decided to take up high altitude ballooning with a helium filled balloon and an attempt to carry a GoPro camera and a smartphone to 107,000 feet in the air and snap some photos. The duo sent their balloon into the air with the plan of having a two-hour flight that would take photos of the sun coming up in California. Ford approved 65-66 Mustang convertible body shell now available

The next Kindle Fire ereader tablet in Amazon's line-up is likely to use an 8.9-inch touchscreen display rather than a 10.1-inch panel as originally expected, sources in the supply chain have revealed. While we've heard talk of a pair of tablets - one small, the 7-inch Kindle Fire shipping in little over a week's time, and one large, potentially arriving toward the end of the year - since the beginning of the Amazon rumors, DigiTimes's sources say the retailer has switched to a smaller screen and pushed a 10.1-inch version further back down the roadmap.
