Samsung Moment Review

Samsung Moment Review

Samsung caught our Android attention with their Galaxy, a slender smartphone with a gorgeous AMOLED touchscreen, and now they're back with the keyboard-toting follow-up. The Samsung Moment on Sprint is a phone with a few firsts of its own - the first QWERTY Android device to offer an AMOLED display, the first to have an 800MHz processor - but it seems the company stopped their innovation before reaching the software: unlike other Android handsets we're seeing, there's no reworked UI and no expansive social network integration. Can a well-turned spec sheet make up for it? Check out the full SlashGear review after the cut.

Kopin Golden-i Gen.2 wearable computer on course for 2010 launch

Oh, how we laughed at Kopin's Golden-i wearable computer when the company showed us renders earlier in the year; even though they promised it was heading to production, we were still dubious.  The joke is on us, it seems, as Kopin have announced that the Golden-i Gen 2 will be entering field trials in December this year, with production kicking off in earnest next year.  Units are expected to have a Bluetooth headset, 15-inch virtual PC display, head-gesture recognition and voice-control.

nio Bluetooth cellphone guardian [Video]

nio Bluetooth cellphone guardian [Video]

If you've ever watched a taxi drive off into the distance with your cellphone on the back seat, left your phone under a napkin at a restaurant or just found you're halfway to work and your BlackBerry is still sat charging in the kitchen, then nio believe they have the solution.  The UK firm are offering a Bluetooth keychain and some proprietary software that you install on your cellphone; that creates a roughly 25m link between the two, which if exceeded causes both keychain and phone to flash and sound an alarm.
