Ever wonder what Pac-Man’s skeleton would look like? Well apparently so did the artist that created this. What do you think, did he capture the spirit of the true Pac-Man or is it just a circle with teeth?

pac-man skeleton

The Pac-Man skeleton was created by Le Gentil Garcon with help from paleontologist Francois Escuilie in 2002. They created it by observing the human skull and different predatory animal skulls.

It is 35cm in diameter and made of plaster. The artist has several works, all equally odd, but interesting nonetheless.

Hey he could have! Maybe the graphics were just so shotty that they were afraid showing the teeth might be too much detail. lol

The cartoon series version might have teeth.

Either way, you can’t say that Pac-Man or Ms. Pac-Man doesn’t have teeth. Just because teeth aren’t seen on the side profile doesn’t mean that teeth aren’t inside its mouth. You could just as easily say Pac-Man doesn’t have a skeleton either.

    Anyway… cool idea/art project.

the eye sockets are there just not visible.. If you look at the front profile carefully you can see the empty regions towards the rear of the skull where the eyes would be on pac-man, the angle of the side profile obscures this detail I believe and makes it appear that it is in fact a solid un-broken portion of skull back there.

Pac-man is like a bird or fish and his eyes point outwards looking to both his sides which means he probably uses those quick jerk like head movements to look around.. creepy.

Actually, if my local Petco will suffice as evidence, we have something here labeled a Pac-Man Frog.

So my guess is: “Both, and it looks like they got it on!”

Pacman has no eyes - as you can see here:

(Pacman was originally called Puckman, until they realised it was a crap name. Or there was some sort of translation error or something. I forget.)

Excellent! I’ve drawn my share of PAC-MANs on scrap paper (original, ms.pac, super, the one that appears on the arcade cabinet, LED pac-mans, etc), so I can appreciate this form of art, especially in this case.

    Very impressive :)

But why has Pacman got a hole in the bottom of his skull? Unlike humans he has no neck and thus no need for a hole in the bottom of his head - this soft patch would be a major point of weakness.

Unlike others, I think the lack of eye sockets might be correct - weakly attached eyes might detach when the rest of him was consumed by a ghost.

I never really thought about what Pac-Man,s skeleton would look like. But, I guess, this is how it would look. Pretty funny.

Look 2,500 or more into the future and see the people think we had real live Pac-Men if you don,t clarify that this is a game one! Animals shaped like Pac-men. That,s what they could think if this isnt labelled properly.

Pac Man Didn’t have any teeth!

While the in-game Pac didn’t there was a rubber squeaker back in the day that did, indeed, include teeth which, realistically (?!) Paccy would need to chomp through monsters, dots, fruit, keys, the Galaxian and anything else that found it’s way in front of him.
