I never got an answer on the dropped calls but took a chance since we pay 2 x as much for less insurance coverage on this iphone. I sadly noted no water promises but already have on Otter Defender, been delayed in several fierce rains while slowly plodding along on my cane. The new hybrid case is not nearly as attractive as the older iphone cases and is still bulky and difficult to slip in and out of my light and small wristlet bags. Impossible to dock with any long researched products. So why am I still in the white Otter Defender? Because the day I purchased and charged up a nice leather recharging case that would permit easier access and docking, I stopped by my porch steps with the phone in its Otter case in my chest pocket. I noticed that a large flower pot was overflowing in water and bent over to tilt and drain it. The Otter/phone slipped right out of my pocket into the puddle while the rest of the pot (approximately a gallon) poured over it. Curses! I picked it up knowing I was more than a day late and a dollar short. Dried it off, and proceeded to wait for sure death. Despite the fall on concrete and the puddle and the deluge, the only result was a momentarily cleaner screen.!!! So I have slipped a slender lanyard near the camera eye and am sticking with this Otter even with being unable to dock or comfortably otherwise transport or even somehow prop it up for easy viewing by my bedside. Oh, BTW, only dropped calls now are when my fat cheeks cut me off mid laugh.
