Origin EVO15-S thin and light notebook offers up to GeForce GTX 1060 GPU

If you need a notebook computer and you want one that is capable of playing video games often you have to resort to a heavy and thick machine. Origin PC has a new notebook that packs in desktop class graphics called the EVO15-S that is thin and lightweight despite the hardware inside. The notebook is 0.69" thick and weighs 3.96 pounds.

In that thin and lightweight chassis gamers can opt for up to an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 GPU that is gaming and VR ready. "Our new EVO15-S changes the landscape of what's possible with a high-performance thin and light laptop," said Kevin Wasielewski ORIGIN PC CEO and cofounder. "With desktop-class graphics that can handle any VR headset and at just over a half-inch thick, the new EVO15-S is the thinnest and lightest true gaming laptop I've ever seen."

Along with that GTX 1060 GPU, the notebook features a 15.6-inch anti-glare 1920 x 1080 display. The processor is an Intel Core i7 6700HQ Skylake unit paired with 16GB of DDR4 RAM. Storage is to a 256GB NVMe M.2 SSD and a 2TB drive for bulk storage. An HD webcam is integrated along with Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260, Sound Blaster Cinema 3 sound, and free lifetime 24/7 support.

Connectivity options include a single USB type C 3.1 port, three USB 3.0 ports, a single USB 2.0 ports, and a SD card reader. The keyboard fitted to the notebook is backlit and has anti-ghosting keys. Buyers can also opt for laser etched or custom painted back panels with any color or design of choice. The gaming notebook starts at $2,083.
