That’s is, the end is nigh. The sky will fall and the four horseman will ride. Who could be responsible for bringing about this armageddon? McDonald’s, of course.

RFID Order

Apparently McDonald’s has teamed up with SK Telecom Korea to bring customers a new way to order food, via their mobile phone. Apparently they can utilize RFID technology to allow customers to place their order using a “Touch Order” menu. They’ll be sent a message when their order is ready to be picked up.

You’ll still have to stand in line to pay though, right? Nope, you’re charged via your cell phone as well. We still have a little time before the destruction begins. Once McDonald’s partners up with AT&T for a similar venture here in the states you’d better start heading for the hills.
