Can you control the music from the computer itself or is it only controlled from the app on your phone? I’d be nice if I could change it from my computer and hearing it over my main stereo while working on my computer.

This is very interesting, i love to be able to access my media from anywhere. I think this product might be kind of a trendy thing replaced with bigger and better in the future.

Which Android phone are you using? I had intermittent issues on a Nexus One and Galaxy Tab, but nothing like the problems it sounds like you’ve been having. As for the desktop app, that’s crashed just once and installed with no problems.

The Orb Controller application is *unusable* on my Android phone. It’s the ONLY application I’ve downloaded to date that feels overwhelmingly clunky in most every way. The menus hang on scrolling and it *often* crashes when connecting. Doing simple things like just pausing (or stopping) the music are confusing and sometimes take several button presses to work if they work at all. Support moves at a snails pace (just go look at the terror that is their support forum) and updates to the Android app seem to occur on a bi-monthly basis. The desktop software works somewhat better but crashed several times for me during install. This is a pre-alpha product being sold as the real deal. :(
