Orb Audio offers up Hammered Earth speakers

The number of speakers to choose from on the home audio and home theater market is overwhelming. Typically the speakers have a square cabinet and are made of wood or MDF for enclosures. Orb Audio has been making speakers for a while that are round balls and look pretty cool.

The company has unveiled its latest set of speakers called the Hammered Earth Orb. Each of the speakers is 4 3/16-inches in diameter and has the sound you normally hear from a larger speaker. Under the hammered bronze looking case of the new speaker is the tech from the firms Mod1 satellite speakers.

The little round speakers are very small making it easier to hide them in and around your room. The speakers can be set in multiple configurations including up to 7.1 setups. The Hammered Earth finish speakers sell for $269 per pair or $873 for a five-speaker setup and a Super Eight sub.
