Orange Samsung Galaxy Tab priced from £499

Orange UK has announced its pricing for the Samsung Galaxy Tab, confirming both monthly rolling contracts and twelve-month plans.  The Tab is priced from £499 ($802) with a year's agreement, or £515/£529 ($827/$850) on a variety of monthly plans.  Existing Orange mobile or broadband customers will also save £5 ($8) per month on their Tab line rental.

As well as all the functionality we covered in our Galaxy Tab review, Orange has preloaded its own widget for access to some of its own services.  These include:

  • Orange Wednesdays, the 2-4-1 cinema ticket app – allowing you to read reviews, watch trailers as well as redeem 2-4-1 vouchers all from the device
  • Orange Maps – offering turn by turn GPS navigation
  • And the option to download Your Orange, so users can manage their Orange account, and keep up-to-date with their mobile data usage
  • Full pricing on the various plans (and out-of-bundle charges) are in the gallery below.  It's worth remembering that Orange quote monthly subscription costs including the £5 discount, so if you're not an existing customer with the carrier you need to factor that in as well.  If £499 is still too rich for your blood, Carphone Warehouse are offering the Tab at £100 and upwards depending on contract.
