Previously announced and is scheduled to set free this weekend in Japan, Olympus has today postponed the only DSLR announced in 2009 so far – Evolt E-620 – to March 20, details of the holdback were not disclosed.

Olympus took the warp off the new Micro 4/3 standard D-SLR a week prior to the PMA 2009, it offers many advance features from E-30 in smaller chassis at nearly half the price. We had a hands-on preview with a series of High ISO images posted here if you are interested.

Presently, US rollout is planned for May while Amazon is already accepting pre-orders with an estimate 3-4 weeks shipping time. We have no further information if the short holdup in Japan will affect US schedule.
