Official Fisker Atlantic pics leak

Last week, we mentioned that some early spy shots of the smaller Fisker plug-in hybrid sibling to the Karma had leaked. At the time, the car was being called the Nina. Official shots of the new Fisker plug-in hybrid have now turned up online, and the car is now being called the Atlantic. The official debut is still set for later this week.

The Atlantic, as we previously mentioned, is a smaller and cheaper version of the Karma. We still don't have official specs for the new vehicle, but previous rumors point to a BMW sourced four-cylinder engine. At this point, we can only speculate on what sort of hybrid powertrain the vehicle will have.

It would be a safe bet that the powertrain is going to be similar to that of the Karma. Fisker's battery supplier is A123, and it has had some issues with batteries of late with a major recall announced for the Karma last month. That recall was to replace the battery packs in the Karma that were failing leaving the some vehicles unable to drive.
